Across centuries of Halloween horror, wherever fear lies, Sam will be waiting…
I picked this up last night after forgetting that it released on October 6th. I’ve been waiting to read this ever since it’s release because I’ve been craving more Sam, especially towards the Halloween season. I wasn’t too sure what to expect going in because I had never read any blurbs or anything like that, but I pleasantly surprised that it felt exactly like a form of the film itself. Trick ‘r Treat: Days of the Dead tells four individual stories all centering around one boy: Sam. He comes in different forms throughout the stories but is key to the terror that unfolds in each one. All stories were really well written, but my favorite was probably Monster Mash because of the monsters and idea of becoming your Halloween costume for forever. Also the art style was very pretty! I loved the art in all stories as well as each one is different and beautiful in its own way.
