2014 was hands down the best year of my life thus far. I didn’t think anything could top 2013, but alas, it did. I traveled WAY more than I expected and I made SO many new friends that I actually started using Facebook again. (WHAT?!) I even became more social? I don’t know how, but it happened. I’m digressing. Anyways, I thought I’d pick some of my top moments from the year and share them with you all!

PicMonkey CollageI went to Cleveland for the Winter Soldier premiere! I got to meet the directors and my new life long friend, Craig! (Thank you Craig!!!! I’ll never stop thanking you.) I even got to watch the movie (and camp out on a table) with my friend Barb and Katy! It was one of the best trips of my life. SO amazing.

IMG_8008I MET SEBASTIAN STAN AND MATT SMITH. I went to HeroesCon, then immediately went to Philly all in the same day. I’m crazy, I know. But I met them both and they were the best and I almost cried when I met Sebastian because he’s the coolest dude ever and I looked like a complete stunned idiot in front of Matt. So magical!

IMG_7861I went to Heroes Con again! I got to meet all the usuals (Matt and Kelly!), but this year was the first year I met Chip. He’s probably the coolest dude I met, and yes, that is him licking my ear.

IMG_1089I met Grace and Mamrie! It was a dream come true and I still can’t believe how amazing that night was.

IMG_8476I saw The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson! It was one of the best days of my life. I’m so grateful I got to see his show before he left. He’s the coolest guy ever and I can’t wait to see him in February! (It’s happening, people!)

IMG_8534SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2014! It was brilliant and I did so much, met so many people, and just fell in love with California all over again. I linked to the SDCC section of my blog because I couldn’t pick just one post. They’re all my favorite! (and most of them were written in a hotel room at four in the morning, so please ignore all the typos and format errors.)

IMG_9827Dragon*Con aka that time I rode Sam Witwer’s back! Such a great weekend full of friends, fun, and cosplay! I love Dragon*Con so much. It’s one of the best cons I’ve ever attended and is always a blast!

IMG_9174Universal/The Wizarding World of Harry Potter/LeakyCon! It was my first time visiting Universal Studios and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I went and saw Springfield, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and bought so many amazing things. I was exhausted by the end of the day. I’ve never been that tired before. The day after I went to my first ever LEAKYCON! I had so much fun dressing as a fandom obsessed Ravenclaw everyday. I met so many people including Tessa Netting. I’ve been waiting for YEARS to meet her and it finally happened. I also made some new friends on my last night. I met Kara and Morgan. We both met while waiting to get into Esther Earl’s Rocking Charity Ball and stayed together the whole night. We danced so much and made too many conga lines for our sanity. It was one of the best nights ever and it really showed the magic of LeakyCon! Me and Morgan text almost everyday and are even planning our cosplays for next years GeekyCon. MAGIC!

  1. What an amazing year! I am SOOOO jealous that you met Matt Smith. I am hoping that I will sometime in the future, but getting big stars to come to Australia is hard, and half the time they pull out anyway. But hey, a girl can dream. Happy New Year!
