Monday night was the premiere of Gotham! Incase you haven’t heard, it’s a new show on FOX about the origin story of not only Batman, but of Oswald, Selina, Barbara, and a bunch more. I’ve been super excited for this show and couldn’t wait to watch, so of course, I had to make some Batman inspired treats for the premiere.

I bought this bat cookie cutter from A.C. Moore at last minute. It was the closest looking one to the Batman symbol, but I got really lucky because Halloween!

Underneath that bat cookie cutter is Batman tortilla chips! I got the recipe from the Nerdist  and made them myself. They were super good too.

I also made some vegan sugar cookies in the shape of bats too. I had a different way I wanted to ice them, but I like the way they came out better. It’s “abstract”.

I also served green hawaiian punch that I called Joker Juice. Blame that idea on Pinterest.

All in all, I’d say it was a pretty successful night. I absolutely LOVED Gotham! So good and I’m SO happy that most of the main focus on the first episode was on Oswald Cobblepot. Robin Lord Taylor looks so much like penguin and I can’t wait to see more! Also, I need to learn more about Selina Kyle. And The Riddler. And basically the whole cast. Did I mention that they did such a terrific job casting Gotham? Because they did. Ahh! I need more Gotham ASAP.

What were your thoughts on the premiere of Gotham?

  1. I need to find someone that carries a bat cookie cutter because this idea is so cool. I should also make some cat ones to represent Selina. Ienjoted the first ep.

    1. I got this cookie cutter at A.C. Moore, but luckily due to Halloween season, it was easier to find! AND YES! Cat ones would be PERFECT! Selina is such a badass.

      Thanks for your comment!
