Hi, all! I’m back with more tips & tricks to make your SDCC easy! I posted my tips & tricks on what to wear earlier this morning, so make sure you get a chance to check those out!
Now onto the next big thing: How to pack! Packing for SDCC can and will be stressful. Going to SDCC isn’t just some “event”, it’s the event! While that is true, it doesn’t mean you need to take everything you think you’re going to need. Last year, I packed a full suit case with all my things like: MacBook, iPad, iPod, 3DS, clothes (so. many. clothes.), shoes (yes, I packed more than one pair.), and shirts galore! Guess what? I didn’t even use 75% of that stuff. All I really needed was about two shirts, a pair of shoes, my MacBook, and that was it! Everything else stayed in our hotel room the whole time. I bought more clothes than I brought during SDCC (this may not be the case for everyone) and was too busy to use anything but my MacBook! The problem lies right there. I packed too much, and therefore, couldn’t bring home with me all my exclusives. That means I had to FedEx them back home and trust me, it got expensive.
Pack necessities and nothing else! You want to maximize your suitcase space especially when traveling from another state and/or country. Also, when doing a carryon, make sure the bag you keep with you during the flight is as big as you can get! More space = less stuff to ship back home!
I hope this was helpful! If you have any tips on how to maximize space when traveling (especially to SDCC. Exclusives galore, I tell ya!), please leave a comment below! Thanks for reading!
