This months Convention Spotlight is shining bright down on HeroesCon!

HEROES CONVENTION was founded in 1982 by Shelton Drum, owner of Charlotte’s Heroes Aren’t Hard To Find comics shop. Since then the convention has become famous for its comics-first and family-friendly atmosphere, where fans can mingle directly with professionals and exhibitors. Boasting an incredible guest list built mainly on reputation and goodwill, HeroesCon is known nationwide as a “must” on the summer schedule, drawing fans, exhibitors, and creators from every region of the country to the Charlotte Convention Center. – source

HeroesCon is loads of fun! I go almost every year, but this year was my absolute favorite. I got to meet so many amazing artists and writers. It was so much fun! And if you’re wondering, yes, this is actually a comic convention. BUT they do offer loads of awesome merchandise! Especially necklaces:

I got even more the day before!

HeroesCon takes place at the Charlotte Convention Center. It’s a really big convention center, nice sized, and offers plenty of places to rest!

HeroesCon is a pretty great convention especially for all those who crave an actual “Comic Book” convention! The only downside is that there’s barely any service. 😦 BUT there are loads of great artists, writers, merchandise and crowds just the right size! All in all, HeroesCon is GREAT con to attend! I would recommend it to everyone! Especially comic book lovers!
