(This is a picture I took of the TV during the live event!)

Incase you missed it, Sunday at 2:00pm EST on BBCA, they announced the new Doctor!!

It was all LIVE! Such cool idea! It was 7:00pm UK time and then BBC broadcasted it worldwide. (Which is what they’re doing for the 50th anniversary special!)

I was on edge the WHOLE time! An amazing once in a lifetime television event!!

If you missed it, you can watch it here:

It’s such a big change, but I’m definitely still going to be watching Doctor Who every night it comes on! It’ll just take me a little bit to get used to the change, but that happened with every season because that’s the life of a Whovian!

First off, Peter Capaldi looks like a Doctor. Something about him just screams Doctor! When they announced that Matt was leaving, I was worried that the new Doctor wouldn’t look very Doctor-esque, but I shouldn’t have doubted it. He looks very much like a Doctor! 😉

And he did play a W.H.O. Doctor in World War Z and was in Torchwood and one episode of Doctor Who!

Crazy, right?!

I’m just so used to Matt Smith that whoever they picked, I would still be unsure, but I think Peter Capaldi will do just fine though! I can’t wait to see how he interprets the Doctor. Matt Smith was very hyper and I loved that about him, so it’ll be exciting how he changes his ways. I also can’t wait to see Clara’s reaction!

Even though I’ll still be very upset that Matt Smith is leaving, I can’t wait to see Peter Capaldi’s Doctor! 🙂

Let me know what YOU think of the new Doctor in the comments or on FB or Twitter! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for reading!
